For supplied lumped parameters, XL = 2πfL, |XC| = 1/(2πfC), and the LC resonance is 1/(2π√LC).
Model limits
This does not derive a via’s characteristic impedance from its geometry. Obtain L and C from an appropriate model or measurement; multi-conductor return paths and resonances may require 3D electromagnetic analysis.
