PCB Layout for Manufacturing

Coordinate placement, routing, mechanical constraints and test access in a production-ready PCB layout.

Place around the system

Begin with connectors, mounting features, thermal paths and constrained interfaces. Then organize functional blocks so signal flow and return paths remain coherent. Leave room for assembly and inspection around dense or tall components.

Route against approved constraints

Apply appropriate clearance, width, differential-pair and length constraints by net class. Review plane transitions and reference continuity, especially where fast signals move between layers.

Check the manufacturing handoff

Verify board outline, holes, copper-to-edge spacing, component orientation and marking. Generate fabrication and assembly outputs from the same released design, and inspect those outputs separately from the CAD view.

Prepare the review package

  • Approved stack-up and mechanical outline
  • Placement and routing constraints
  • Test-point and fixture requirements
  • Fabrication and assembly output review
