Quick-Turn PCB Prototypes

Prepare a quick-turn PCB prototype with complete files, available components and a realistic release schedule.

Plan the manufacturing route

A fast prototype depends on how quickly a complete, manufacturable release can enter production. Material shortages, unanswered engineering questions and late component changes can consume more time than fabrication itself. Build the schedule around confirmed inputs rather than a headline turnaround claim.

Choose the prototype objective

An electrical proof of concept may not need the final enclosure, coating or cosmetic finish. A qualification prototype should match the intended materials and construction closely enough to support the planned validation.

Remove preventable holds

Supply the actual outline, plated and non-plated drill definitions, layer order and copper requirements. For assembly, include the BOM and placement data at the same revision, with no ambiguous package options.

Plan a first-article check

A small pilot quantity can uncover polarity, connector orientation, firmware or test-fixture problems before the remaining assemblies are built. Agree whether this checkpoint changes the delivery schedule.

Before you request a quote

  • Confirm material and critical component stock before release.
  • Distinguish manufacturing completion from delivery at your location.
  • Name the person authorized to answer engineering questions.
  • State whether a split shipment is useful.

For a build-specific review, provide the actual revision, quantity and delivery requirement. Manufacturing limits, applicable certifications and lead time must be confirmed in the written quotation.
