Method and units
Target impedance is allowed voltage deviation divided by the current step. An ideal charge-balance estimate is C = ΔI × Δt/ΔV.
Model limits
This gives a planning target and an ideal capacitance estimate, not a frequency-domain PDN simulation. Include regulator behavior, mounting inductance, ESR, ESL, bias derating and resonances in detailed analysis.
