Plan the manufacturing route
An online quote is only as useful as the inputs behind it. A preliminary price may exclude engineering exceptions, unavailable parts or special tests. Submit a controlled file package and distinguish estimated pricing from a manufacturing release that has been reviewed and accepted.
State the complete scope
Identify whether the request covers fabrication, assembly, purchased components, programming and test. Include quantity breaks when comparing prototype and production economics.
Review the assumptions
Check layer count, material, thickness, finish, drill requirements and component population. Ensure the quote reflects the intended revision and any special processing.
Close the release loop
Resolve engineering questions and material substitutions before approval. Keep a record of the approved files and quotation together so subsequent builds have a clear baseline.
Before you request a quote
- Package one revision per upload.
- Include assembly files when requesting assembled boards.
- State the delivery destination and target date.
- Use the written quote to verify all included operations.
For a build-specific review, provide the actual revision, quantity and delivery requirement. Manufacturing limits, applicable certifications and lead time must be confirmed in the written quotation.
