Use these answers to prepare a clear project brief and resolve scope before a manufacturing release.
Are the calculators manufacturing sign-off tools?
No. Each tool states its model and limitations. Simplified calculations can help screen an idea, but final dimensions and margins require the relevant design method, actual material data and manufacturer review.
Do the BOM tools check availability?
They check the supplied CSV structure and compare reference-to-part assignments. They do not query supplier stock or validate electrical compatibility. Review orderable part numbers and substitutions separately.
Are entered BOMs uploaded?
The custom browser tools on these pages calculate locally and do not submit their inputs to a server. Avoid entering unnecessary confidential information, and keep the approved working files in your own controlled project storage.
How should I use a result?
Record the inputs, units, model and assumptions beside the output. If a result is close to a limit or outside the stated geometry range, use a more suitable analysis and obtain engineering review before release.
