Prepare a PCB Quote from KiCad

Export and review the files needed to quote a KiCad PCB project without installing a website-specific plugin.

Keep the quote workflow portable

A manufacturing quote can start from the fabrication and assembly outputs of your KiCad project. This website does not require a KiCad plugin. Prepare a controlled release archive and use the quotation link after reviewing the output files. Save the original editable project separately from the manufacturing package.

Prepare fabrication data

Export the required copper, solder-mask, legend and outline layers, together with the agreed drill files. Confirm units, origins, layer order and plated versus non-plated hole requirements. View the generated outputs to check registration and outline interpretation before sending them.

Add assembly data

Use the schematic’s controlled component fields to prepare the BOM, with exact manufacturer part numbers and fitted quantities. Include component position data and drawings that clarify side, polarity and pin 1. Review population variants so DNP components are handled consistently.

Review before uploading

  • One revision and one intended board outline.
  • A readable board specification and quantity requirement.
  • Consistent reference designators across the BOM, placement file and drawings.
  • Explicit inspection, programming and functional-test scope.

The official KiCad PCB Editor manual documents fabrication outputs; consult the manual that matches your installed version for its exact dialogs.
